Radyo Kilusang Pagbabago now number 1 in DWBL 1242 kHz AM band

Based on YouTube video views, the new Pro Duterte radio program called RADYO KILUSANG PAGBABAGO is now the highest rated program in DWBL 1242 AM band. At the time of this writing, five radio programs have been aired.

In its debut show last September 9, 2017, it was an all sound, music and voice transmission which is how it has always been since the Golden Age of Radio in the Philippines.

On its second Saturday program, the live radio transmission was hooked to YouTube LIVE STREAMING giving the listeners the chance to see the show as it was being broadcast. During the airing or a few hours after the program ended, exactly TWO (2) had watched the program on YouTube.

That was not a very auspicious beginning but it was a good start nonetheless. The URL or link of that September 16, 2017 video was distributed to friends, relatives and allies which started the ball rolling. The beauty of YouTube is that it is available 24 hours a day and can be accessed from all over the world. The September 23 and 30 shows were also telecast LIVE through YouTube. By the end of two weeks of showing, September 16 and September 23 film clips, the total cumulative video hits had reached almost 1000. Radyo Kilusang Pagbabago reached another milestone on its fifth show (fourth on YouTube) when the program was also broadcast on Facebook LIVE STREAMING. This allowed a number of the viewers to give their comments and show their THUMBS UP (for Likes) and HEARTS (for loving the show). Names and locations of those who engaged in the Facebook video were mentioned in the program to the delight of the audience. Significantly, the majority of those who actively participated in the program were OFWs (overseas Filipino workers) who shared their observations and insights about the fantastic Internet speed in their adopted countries. Alas, Filipinos in the home country have to suffer from expensive Internet access as well as SLOW speed.

Radyo Kilusang Pagbabago achieved its number one status in DWBL because it has tens of thousands of members. Kilusang Pagbabago Metro Manila also has a huge Facebook base both in fan pages (Likes) and groups (members) thus they have the platform for mass dissemination.

Ombudsman affirms criminal charges vs Aquino over SAF 44 Mamasapano Massacre

p-noy purisima

President Aquino and SUSPENDED PNP Chief Purisima are both BLAMED for the Mamasapano Incident where 44 Philippine National Police Special Action Force troopers died.

The Ombudsman junked on Thursday former President Benigno Aquino III’s appeal to dismiss criminal charges against him for his role in the deadly Mamasapano encounter in January 2015.

In a 27-page resolution, the Ombudsman ruling read: “After a considered evaluation of the arguments raised by the movants vis a vis the evidence on record, the Office finds no cogent reason to reverse or modify the assailed Resolution.”

House panel approves 1st impeachment complaint against Supreme Court Chief Justice Sereno

impeachment steps

MANILA, Philippines — Voting 30 – 4, the House Justice Committee on Wednesday found the first impeachment complaint filed against Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno “sufficient in form and substance.”

Most of the panel’s members agreed with COOP-NATCO party-list Rep. Anthony Bravo to declare the validity of lawyer Larry Gadon’s complaint.

The four lawmakers who voted against the motion were Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman, Dinagat Islands Rep. Arlene Bag-ao, Akbayan Party-list Rep. Tom Villarin and Bayan Muna Party-list Rep. Carlos Isagani Zarate—all members of the minority.

Villarin said the complaints against Sereno were not backed by complainant Gadon’s personal knowledge, but are only based on newspaper clippings and hearsay.

“This impeachment complaint should be supported by evidence and not bare allegations of a news report,” Villarin said.

But committee chairperson Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali and Ilocos Norte Rep. Rodolfo Fariñas—allies of President Rodrigo Duterte—asserted that Gadon’s complaint are backed by authentic documents. They noted certified copies from the Supreme Court and the chief magistrate’s statement of assets, liabilities and net worth.

If the complaint against Sereno is “sufficient in form and substance,” articles of impeachment will be drafted and presented to the House for voting.

The grounds for the impeachment cases against the chief justice include culpable violation of the Constitution, corruption, other high crimes and betrayal of public trust. She is accused of using public funds to purchase a luxury vehicle for personal use.

Twenty five solons endorsed Gadon’s complaint. Gadon, a legal counsel of former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, was a losing senatorial candidate. He is now president of the PDU30 Constitutional Reform Toward Federalism, a group supportive of Duterte and his charter change agenda.

The panel is also set to scrutinize the second impeachment complaint against Sereno, this time filed by the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption, an advocacy group supportive of Duterte’s controversial drug war.

The justice committee, after hearing and by a majority vote of all its members, shall submit a resolution within 60 days. The resolution will then be calendared for consideration by the House within 10 session days.

A vote of at least one-third of all House members is necessary either to affirm a favorable resolution with the articles of impeachment of the committee or override its contrary resolution. This translates to at least 98 members of the House given there are 292 congressmen at present.

The Senate has the sole power to try and decide all cases of impeachment.

Edgardo Tinio, at Chief Supt.

Vicente Loot.

Naming generals akin to killing them—running priest

By: Delfin T. Mallari Jr., Estrella Torres
Inquirer Southern Luzon, Philippine Daily Inquirer  July 10, 2016

LUCENA CITY, Philippines—President Duterte practically “killed” five police generals when he publicly named them as protectors of drug syndicates without any investigation, an activist Catholic priest said on Saturday.

“While the almost daily killings of suspected drug pushers happen without due process, the naming of the five PNP (Philippine National Police)  generals as drug protectors was likewise a killing of sorts,”  Fr. Robert Reyes, known as the running priest,  said in a statement.

Duterte last week named former National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Joel Pagdilao,  Supt. Bernardo Diaz of Police Regional Office 6 and former Quezon City Police District (QCPD) chief Edgardo Tinio as alleged coddlers of drug syndicates. Retired police officers Deputy Director Gen. Marcelo Garbo Jr. and Chief Supt. Vicente Loot were also named.

All have denied the allegation, except for Garbo, who has so far been silent. The three active officers have also voluntarily appeared for investigation. Loot, now mayor of Daanbantayan in Cebu, has said he was not hiding anything and was willing to be investigated in a civilian court.

“What if some of the five are proven innocent? Will they be able to recover their lost reputation and good name? The killing and taking of lives is final and irreversible,” Reyes said. “Couldn’t we say the same about the killing of the dignity of those accused without trial and conviction?”

Reyes likewise called on the Duterte administration to immediately put an end to the summary execution and public humiliation of suspected drug traffickers. Police have so far confirmed killing at least 103 suspects as they stepped up the war on drugs.

“All killings must stop whether of life or reputation or dignity,” Reyes said.

Malacañang has refused to disclose the evidence against the generals, saying it may affect the outcome of the investigation.

But Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Saturday said the five may be placed in the immigration lookout bulletin order so any travel may be monitored.

“These police generals will be placed under immigration lookout because President Duterte mentioned their names as being behind illegal drugs,” Aguirre told the Inquirer. The five will not be barred from leaving the country, but immigration officials will monitor their movements.

He said a decision was to be made on Monday.

MANILA – An anti-crime group on Wednesday filed an impeachment complaint against Commission on Elections Chairman Andres Bautista, citing him for betrayal of public trust and culpable violation of the Constitution.

The complaint stemmed from allegations he misdeclared his wealth and the hacking of the Comelec website last year that exposed voter data.

Cebu 3rd District Rep. Gwen Garcia, Tagaytay 7th District Rep. Abraham N. Tolentino and Kabayan party-list Rep. Harry Roque endorsed the complaint, paving the way for the House justice committee to tackle the complaint and determine whether or not it is sufficient in form and substance.

The complaint was filed by Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption lawyer Ferdinand Topacio‏ and former Negros Oriental Rep. Jacinto Paras.

Bautista’s estranged wife, Patricia, earlier claimed she discovered bank and real property documents, and several passbooks under her husband’s name that were not included in his statement of assets liabilities and net worth.

The Comelec chief has denied the charge and accused his wife of having an affair and attempting to extort a P620 million settlement.

A study of the 27 MILLION PESOS in checks seized from a Maute sniper position revealed that the checks date back to 2014 – 2016 thus are not negotiable anymore (due to a six month maximum allowable period). The 52 MILLION PESOS in cash are genuine legal tender. Authorities are still at a loss as to where all the money came from and are looking into the DRUG angle to explain the loot.

Resorts World Manila: At least 34 Dead from attack, fire

Share Share Share – Breaking News: Like Like Like —–>>>>> @Duterte https://www.facebook.com/MetroManilaKilusangPagbabago/ ***** At least 34 DEAD by fire caused by armed man who attacked, robbed and set fire to Resorts World Manila. Gunman believed to have killed himself by setting his room on fire then shot himself with a pistol. #ResortsWorldManila

******

AT least 34 people have been killed after a masked gunman stormed a Manila casino and set fire to gambling tables before burning himself to death.

The horrific death toll was revealed by sources at the Philippine Bureau of Fire Protection, who said most died from smoke billowing out of the flaming tables.

According to reports, the man, who is thought to be a white “English speaker”, raced into the Resorts World Manila complex shortly after midnight and fires at TV screens.

As terrified guests began screaming and running for the exits, the gunman pulled out a can of gasoline, poured it over gaming tables and set it ablaze.

He then stuffed his rucksack with £175,000 of casino chips before fleeing in the mayhem.

Manila: Gunman dead after firing shots, setting Resorts World complex ablaze

Philippine police say a gunman who burst into a Manila entertainment complex, firing gunshots and setting a casino ablaze, has taken his own life.

Authorities said the man’s motive was robbery, and that the incident was not terrorism-related.

“We cannot attribute this to terrorism,” National police chief Ronald dela Rosa told local media.

Shortly after midnight, shots and loud bangs rang out at the popular Resorts World Manila complex, which is close to close to Terminal Three of Ninoy Aquino International Airport and an air force base.

Mr dela Rosa said the “foreign looking, Caucasian gunman” burst into the casino, fired shots and set gaming tables alight, sowing panic in a country on high alert after martial law was declared in the south.

“He parked at the second floor and barged into the casino, shooting large TV screens and poured gasoline on a table setting it on fire,” he said.

“We are looking into a robbery angle because he did not hurt any people and went straight to the casino chips storage room.

Smoke was seen billowing from the upper story of the complex’s hotel wing hours after the initial assault as police worked to clear the resort room by room.

Hours later, Metropolitan Manila police chief Oscar Albayalde says the English-speaking suspect was found dead around dawn with his rifle on the fifth floor of the Resorts World Manila complex.

The suspect reportedly took 113 million pesos ($3 million) worth of gambling chips, which were found in a bag he was carrying.

Mr Abayalde said there was no indication of terrorism, and that authorities believe the suspect either lost in the casino and wanted to get his money back, or went “totally nuts”.

Officials said at least 54 people were hurt, some seriously, as they rushed to escape what at first had been feared as a militant attack.

Large numbers of police massed outside as smoke rose from the hotel and shopping complex, which according to its website holds the largest casino resort in the country.

Resorts World Manila said on social media it was in lock down.

Witnesses at the scene reported armed police entering a hotel near the complex, while videos posted earlier on social media showed people fleeing as several loud bangs were heard.

People caught up in panic following the incident were being treated at a nearby hospital for smoke inhalation and fractures, hospital staff said.

The Philippines has been on heightened alert amid a crisis in the south of the country, where troops have been battling Islamist rebels since May 23.

President Rodrigo Duterte declared martial law on the southern island of Mindanao last week.

Police chief dela Rosa said it was possible militant group Islamic State would claim responsibility for the incident for propaganda purposes.

President Duterte has said he fears Islamic State’s “terrible ideology” will spread on Mindanao, an island of 22 million people, and has warned it could become a haven for supporters fleeing Iraq and Syria.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa on Friday confirmed that the lone gunman behind the attack on Resorts World Manila is dead.

Dela Rosa, who earlier claimed that the gunman was killed after resisting arrest, said that the suspect set himself on fire in one of the rooms at the hotel.

“Patay na siya. Nagsunog siya sa sarili niya sa loob ng hotel, sa Room 510,” Dela Rosa told reporters. “Sunog talaga.” (He’s dead. He burned himself inside the hotel in Room 510. He was burned beyond recognition.)

“Humiga siya sa bed, kinoveran niya sarili niya ng makapal na kumot, and apparently nagbuhos siya ng gasolina sa kumot at nagsindi sa sarili. Sunog siya (He lied in bed, covered himself in a blanket, poured gas on the blanket and set himself on fire. He’s burned),” Dela Rosa added.

Earlier, the police chief said the gunman was a foreigner, a Caucasian who appeared to stand six-foot tall.

He, however, denied reports that the international terror group ISIS was responsible for the attack.

“There is a lone man who entered the second floor of Resorts World Manila. He was carrying an M4 rifle and he burned gambling tables. He did not shoot anyone,” Dela Rosa said in an interview with reporters at the police command center in the hotel complex.

Police are eyeing robbery, not terrorism, as motive behind the shooting for the suspect stole P130 million worth of casino chips.

Police, composed of members of Special Action Force (SAF) and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), are still in the area. IDL

The still unidentified gunman was seen wearing a bonnet, a gray sweatshirt, and armed with a “baby Armalite”.

Authorities have yet to confirm the gunman’s identity and nationality as he burned himself to death in a Maxims Hotel room.

Police chief Ronald Dela Rosa ruled out terrorism as the motive of the attack as the suspect neither threatened nor harmed civilians.
