The Alden and Yaya Dub invasion of Philippine television has reaped huge rewards with the ratings of the noontime show Eat Bulaga which was claimed to have TRIPLED in terms of audience patronage. Aside from the professional careers of both Alden and Yaya Dub, GMA7, the television company, is, of course, the biggest winner of them all. Both GMA7 and ABS-CBN are locked in a life and death struggle to be named the number one television station in the Philippines. Both have claimed that number one slot but it is obvious that there can only be a single company that should occupy the top position. Prior to #AlDub, most Filipinos believed that ABS-CBN is ACTUALLY, REALLY and TRULY the number one television network in the country.
