President Aquino anointing Secretary Mar Roxas as the Liberal Party standard bearer (Presidential candidate) is not enough to improve the dismal popularity and acceptance ratings of the presumptive LP bet. In fact, the greatest help to the Binay campaign that can be contributed by President Aquino is in choosing Mar Roxas over Grace Poe, since Mar Roxas would be far easier to beat than Grace Poe, as far as the Binay camp is concerned. Wittingly or unwittingly, President Aquino is poised to commit a monumental mistake, a fatal error and a gross incompetence by deciding according to Liberal Party lines and supporting the losing cause of Mar Roxas. VP Binay has already publicly stated that he would not be sending President Aquino to jail (for unconstitutional acts associated with DAP and PDAF) in case he (Binay) wins. By choosing Mar Roxas over Grace Poe, President Aquino is already guaranteeing VP Binay to be the next Philippine President in 2016.
