The winners of the first CineFilipino Film Festival were announced last night during the awarding ceremony held in Genting Club, Resorts World Manila.

One of the much-awaited movie in the competition is the Sari Dalena & Kiri Dalena Film “The Guerrilla is a Poet” – an entry to the feature-length film category and will vie for Audience Choice and Best Acting Ensemble awards.
Starring Jao Mapa, Karl Medina, Angeli Bayani, Anthony Falcon, Bong Cabrera, RK Bagatsing, Chanel Latorre, Lehner Mendoza, Lui Quiambao-Manansala, Marcus Madrigal, Jes Evardone, Willie Nepomuceno, and Raymond Bagatsing, the movie is based on the life of intellectual and revolutionary figure Jose Maria Sison, this film explores a tumultuous decade in Philippine history when idealistic young people decided they had to rise up and fight a dictatorial regime.
