GMA, Abalos and Mendoza in 100 million US dollar NBN ZTE commission, 50% received upon signing of contract (in 2007)
Breaking News: Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, former Mandaluyong mayor and Comelec Chair Benjamin Abalos and former DOTC secretary Leandro Mendoza (who died in 2013) were the AGENTS (or brokers) in the 2007 NBN ZTE deal worth 329.5 million US dollars for the upgrading of Philippine government communications. Since the deal was exposed the project was put on hold but 50% of the 100 million US dollar commission was already released to the identified AGENTS upon signing of the contract in 2007
. The 50 million US dollar (partial) commission is approximately 2.2 billion Philippine pesos. The other half of the 100 million US dollar commission is reportedly deposited to the name of the same AGENTS in an overseas escrow account pending completion of the now indefinitely postponed project. #NBN-ZTEdeal #corruption #GMA #PLUNDER
